Our Story

Three generations of the Goldscharek family, one storefront on the water.

Since 1987, Kona Inn Jewelry has worked out of the Kona Inn Shopping Village on Ali’i Drive — the same stretch of road where Kailua-Kona's history, and every October, the world's best endurance athletes, pass by our door.

What hasn't changed is the bench work: every ring sized, every stone set, and every custom piece designed within walking distance of the ocean that inspires it.

A cut diamond resting on dark Hawaiian volcanic rock

Born of fire, cut to brilliance.

Hawai‘i was built by volcanic fire. Every stone we set is cut with the same patience — shaped slowly, by hand, until it catches the light.

Our Process

From sketch to heirloom.

01

Consult & Sketch

We sit down together to talk through your vision, budget, and the story behind the piece.

02

Design & Select Stones

We refine the design and hand-select diamonds or gemstones to match.

03

Cast & Set

Your piece is cast, assembled, and stones are set entirely on-site.

04

Polish & Deliver

A final polish and inspection before your piece is placed in your hands.

Why Kona Inn Jewelry

We’ve always believed a ring should mean something before it ever means anything to anyone else. That's the only kind of jewelry we've ever wanted to make.
